Planting seeds is actually not a difficult task to complete. The planting of the seeds all depends on where you plan to grow your specified plants at. For instance if you are planning on growing your plants in your home then you will need a container and potting soil in order to begin the growing process of your seeds.

However, if you are interested in planting seeds outside you will not need a lot of materials. All you will need in order to grow your seeds outside is a shovel to dig a hole to plant the seeds in as well as a decent amount of potting sole to add into the existing dirt to give the seeds an added level of nutrition so they can begin to grow at excessively fast rates.

If you are planning on planting seeds inside your home to later transfer over to the outside then you will need to gather a dish that is deep. The deeper the pan is the more soil you will be able to add into it which means your seeds will be able to pick up more nutrients from its surrounding soil.

Just think of cutting the roots off of a plant being along the same guidelines as cutting off a part of our mouths that we use to eat with. Without food we will not be able to grow, and without full use of our mouths we cannot eat. Without full use of their roots plants cannot eat.

However, in order to be able to do that at home, your eyes must be familiar with the look of a healthy dry seed.

Furthermore, don’t buy only the cheapest flower seeds you can find; you may save a few bucks, but you don’t have the same quality warranty as when purchasing the seeds from a trustworthy and famous company. Always check the label of the product to find out whether the flower seeds have been exposed to any form of chemical treatment or not; usually, manufacturers must inscribe the preservation process on the package, and without such information, the quality of the seeds is not reliable.

flower bulbs?

when would be a good time to take up flower bulbs,(gladiolas,peoines) and should they be stored over winter and replanted in the spring, i live in the south centeral usa?

How far south? Alabama and Georgia – you probably don’t have to remove them at all. Oddly enough, daffodils and tulips might need to be removed and put into the fridge to force them into dormancy for the spring – as the climate in the coastal areas isn’t cold enough.

If you’re further north, the best way to store any bulbs is to put them in untreated wood shavings. Mulch works. Put all that into a paper bag and store it in the bottom of the fridge, or in a cool dark corner of the basement.

I personally have two cats at my house and I have never had a problem with them trying to eat any of the leaves or flowers of the morning glory plant. Animals are pretty smart when it comes to which ones to eat and other ones which they shouldn’t. Cats and dogs just prefer to eat grass, so make sure that there isn’t any harmful pesticide on your lawn, as that will cause more harm to them than the morning glory plants will. Just plant them and enjoy.

At your house, if you are one of the fortunate ones to have a white picket fence surrounding it, then the one plant to put there, sprawling all over the fence, is the beautiful morning glory. Pergolas are also a structure, where they will climb and make a beautiful showing over your deck. A trellis is also a perfect place for this vine to grow up and twine itself all over, clinging to all parts of the trellis, making a wonderful showing.

You can buy the hybrid ones and they come in all different colors, pink, white, burgundy and different tones of blue.

The most popular is the large flowered blue one, which shows up so well against any structure, which you might want. The best way to start your morning glory seeds, is to soak them in water overnight, as the seed is very hard and soaking them will start them to open enough, to give them a good start when you plant them.

They like water, so even when you plant them, water them well and then sprinkle some water on them each morning through the whole season.

In a very short time, you will find that they will come through the soil and not long after that, they will be looking for somewhere to cling and wrap themselves around.

Their name is a bit of a give away as to when they bloom. First thing, as you wake up in the morning, they will be in bloom, especially if they are facing to the east, getting the morning sun.

They do prefer being in the sun, so plant them where they will get lots of it, and also plant them just outside your kitchen, so that when you wake up and are having your breakfast, they will start your day off beautifully, with their lovely colors. The flowers will not last very long, but tomorrow morning, there will be new ones blooming.

If you allow them to let the seeds fall where they have bloomed, you will be treated to them coming up the following year, without having to plant them again.

My personal preference is to plant a mixture of colors and size of blooms together, then you will be treated to all the different colors. You will be the envy of the neighborhood and people will be asking you, what kind of flower you have growing.
