Many plant seeds can fall to the grownd and remain there without growing for many years. What state (not state of matter) are the seeds in, and how is this possible? Thanks so much for your help!

that’s hot, I guess its the shell casing some are thicker and keep the material inside safe from germs and bacterias, like a coconut can float for months and land on a island thousands of miles away
